Happy June to everyone! Hopefully, the summer heat is not dampening anyone’s ability to enjoy the summertime. The heat is not limiting our staff’s excitement for the summer encampment starting in less than a month! As this post marks the last one for this encampment preparation season, I wanted to cover a few important details.
We have officially closed registration for the 2026 New Mexico Summer Encampment, and you have all successfully completed that registration process. This year, we will have representation from 3 states, excluding New Mexico, continuing our proud tradition of showcasing the talent of New Mexico Wing to our national CAP family.
Student applications have been steadily coming in from New Mexico Cadets eager to experience the excitement of encampment. Today, April 1st, student applications are now open to first-time out-of-state students. New Mexico first-time students can still apply until April 30th, but we expect student slots to fill up faster as our regional or national students begin registering, so please register sooner rather than later.
